A middle-aged man, Surajo Sule, of Filim Samji area in Katsina municipal is currently cooling his heels at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for allegedly raping two little girls.
It was gathered that Sule lured the two girls (names witheld), ages 8 and 9, to his house, yesterday, where he reportedly took turns to defile them.
Narrating the incidence to our correspondent, a father of one of the victims, Isa Kabala said the suspect lured his 8 year old daughter to the house where he reportedly had carnal knowledge of her.
Kabala said the little girl came back home and told her mother what transpired between her and the suspect.
He said “Some people saw when the man took my daughter and another girl to his house. So when they came out, a lady demanded to know what happened and my daughter opened up before later telling her mother. When the mother narrated what our daughter told her, I promptly contacted vigilante.”
He noted that the suspect confessed to committing the crime when questioned by men of the local vigilante group, adding that a medical examination had been conducted where it was established that the little girls have been defiled.
A resident of the area told our correspondent that the suspected rapist who is not married, was fond of luring little girls to his house with dabino (date palm).
As at the time of writing this report, the suspect is reportedly being held at the CID in Katsina State command of the Nigerian Police Force.
